Living Quarter - Space Making Operation
Study a New Type of Spacing Making
Being an interior designer, most of time we need to think about how to make a space in different ways. In this project, I used plane and block to development a new way of space making. The plane did not act as beam, but to support all the blocks in between.

A fixed height for planes
There are three distinct heights in the model, which are 20mm, 40mm and 60mm respectively.

Location of the plane
There are two layers of planes in the model where placed in the upper and lower part. Meanwhile the blocks are put in between.

Special method for placing the planes
All the planes are perpendicular to each other, and in the same quarter, all the planes are balancing to each other.
Material Testing - Exploration on Construction Material
In order to indentify the planes in blocks in the model, different materials are used. As different materials can bring different feeling to people, it is important for designer to choose a suitable material for the space.
The core of this house aims to provide siting of clear thoughts, which the atmosphere is created by massive concrete. In order to enhance indoor units from the ooutdoor space, and identify the structure and unit, the massive concretes are convered onto the planes and the blocks with are kept in white.
Unit Segmentation - Seperating the Model into four Units
From the plan drawing, it shows there are four units in the model cube. Each quarter is divided by the orientation of the planes on top of the living unit. Each unit has a close relationship to neighbourhood.
Besides, from the section drawings, we can see each unit is with different ceiling height, which want to bring different experiences to people. However, the interior and exterior have no specific wall to seperate. Even people stay indoor, they will get the same feeling to outdoor.
